- 1. What is your billing/mailing address?
CCA Environmental, Inc.
PO Box 545
Midland, NC 28107-0545
- 2. Where is Midland?
Midland is about half way between Charlotte and Albemarle, and
about half way between Concord and Monroe. We are located about
10 minutes from Interstate 485, Charlotte’s Interstate
loop, which allows ready access to all parts of the Carolinas.
- 3. What does "CCA" stand
for?
Clear, concise, and accurate: a philosophy that applies to all
phases of our work.
- 4. How is CCA Environmental different
than other environmental consultants?
Nearly all work at CCA is conducted by licensed professionals,
including field work. The firm’s President is a hands-on
Professional Geologist with more than 30 years of experience
who demands high quality work. CCA also recommends only the
services you need to accomplish your goal. We make our clients
needs a priority when developing a site strategy.
- 5. Do you provide
engineering services?
CCA Environmental, Inc. is a Licensed Geological Corporation;
we are not licensed as engineering consultants. We rely on carefully
screened Licensed Engineers, who work in association with CCA,
when these services are needed. Engineering services were not
needed in perhaps 95% or more of contaminated sites we have
worked,. The current regulatory climate encourages alternative
methods to active remediation wherever possible.
- 6. What is the
Leaking Underground Storage Tank Trust Fund?
One-quarter of one cent for every gallon of gasoline
sold goes into the fund. It is used to offset assessment and
cleanup costs for underground storage tanks at qualifying sites.
CCA will help you apply to the fund and can prepare your reimbursement
requests.
- 7. How does the
Trust Fund work for residential heating oil sites?
There is a special trust fund for home heating oil USTs. Residential
tank owners are generally reimbursed for all reasonable costs
except for the cost to remove the tank system and its contents.
This includes professional time, laboratory analyses, assessment,
cleanup if needed, and all other associated tasks.
- 8. Is the Trust
Fund available at commercial UST sites?
Commercial UST tanks are generally qualified for the Trust Fund,
but they are subject to a complex set of conditions that govern
eligibility and the amounts reimbursed.
